moonman
Most impressed by the pilot skills here! But i definitely do never ever want to experience such landings! ... seems as if the winds were almost playing with the planes ... just as if they were some toy! Bassman
Do they really allow aircraft to land under those conditions? Surely they get routed somewhere else?
moonman
Do they really allow aircraft to land under those conditions? Surely they get routed somewhere else? ... I was also surprised that the airport was not closed for some time - even the media reporting about these landings pointed that out - ... but maybe there will be at least some hard talk with the people who were in charge there. yhmlpilot
Nice job to the pilot Wouldn't call it a smooth landing But who in their right mind would allow Aircraft to attemp a landing in those conditions Immediate divert should have been the case But hats off to pilot in command anyway
bill ho
hi.totally crazy.that wind is too strong for those aircraft.madness!!..cheers bill
alan2
There'll be some heavy landing checks to do that day ! Oh, those twisted legs !!
ricky76
The one by the A310 (I believe it was a 310) was the most impressive. Right on with the centerline on touchdown. Imagine the pressure of landing a ~300,000lb hunk of metal in those conditions with the added pressure of 70+ lives in your hands. Remarkable! boxcar
. Yeah, that Airbus landing at the end was simply brilliant considering the conditions, wow! .
tuisong
... seems as if the winds were almost playing with the planes ... just as if they were some toy! When it all comes down to it we are all nature's play things. In my book It's hats of to the pilot who had the sense to abort his landing. Thanks for the link.
