simulatorflyer
Time to leave Martins Bay and head for Glenorchy. The flight will go over Lake Mckerrow through Hollyford valley - past Lake Mckeller up Greenstone valley to Greenstone river tributary, and out into Elfin Bay and Lake Wakatipu. Out over Lake Wakatipu it's a short hop to Glenorchy. Pour yourself a cup of coffee and tag along for the ride. Goodbye Martins Bay At the end of Lake Mckerrow coming into Hollyford valley and river Hollyford river. Stunning scenery! A bit further down Hollyford river. This is flightsim heaven for me. What is this? A "hidden" airstrip in the middle of Hollyford valley. It doesn't show up in the kmz file. Coming up on Lake Mckellar and Greenstone valley. Greenstone valley. More fantastic scenery. Having turned left around the mountains we can just see Lake Wakatipu in the distance. This is where Greenstone river and Lake Wakatipu meets. On my left Kinloch and Glenorchy. NZGY is just on the other side of the lake. Skipping to finals at NZGY. No sheep in sight - on the runway at least. Looking good. Down and parked. What a great flight in stunning scenery! Map of flight with "hidden" airstrip circled in red. Have a go at this one. You won't regret it.

Dave Frost
I couldn't believe it when I saw these screenies of ZK-JRA (owned by Auckland Aero Club) ..... I would hate to think how much money I have spent flying this aircraft over the years. ps Great shots BTW
