John York
I think ATC can be a little dangerous with their altitude instructions! I was trying to get into Darringtom but there was too much cloud and I couldn't see the runway so I diverted to Spokane. John Thank you ImageShack

Ron Attwood
How did you get it sorted out eventually John? Glad you did. Just as well you couldn't find Darrington, there may well have been a bit of a 'running out of runway' situation with that beast.

Tim Harris
lol, in a recent flight ATC directed me straight at Mt Hood, and when I was within 500ft (couple of seconds) of hitting it finally told me to deviate....a little
shipdriver
lol, in a recent flight ATC directed me straight at Mt Hood, and when I was within 500ft (couple of seconds) of hitting it finally told me to deviate....a little That exact thing happened to me about a week ago. I just didn't follow the instructions and it quickly "changed it's mind."
John Lovell
I get that all the time with ATC... They tell me to descend but clearly there is a mountain in the way... so I climb as not to hit it and kill all my passengers... but ATC just get all arsy about it insisting that I descend! John York
I'm glad its not only me who has trouble with ATC. I sometimes wonder where they think we are?!! Good old Microsoft. But what do you expect when they couldn't even get the airfields in the right places half the time! I don't think geography was their strongpoint. John York
Talking about ATC, I've just installed Radar Contact. Bit of a performance to get it working but I must say it seems worthwhile. If nothing else it makes a nice change to hear English voices in the UK instead of mid-atlantic. John
