NRM - They got it just right - with Pics this time!

I started a trip from Darrington to Butte this evening to explore the southern edge of NRM.  As I made it over the top of those stunning mountains around Glacier Peak and dropped down into Lake Chelan, I became VERY IMPRESSED with the guys doing this scenery.  As you'll see in these pics, they've made the southern banks and foothills on the lake much drier than the northern foothills.  It's that kind of attention to detail that makes Orbx so vastly superior to any other FSX scenery maker out there today, I believe.

Here's some more around Chelan.  These textures are amazing, and having lived in this dry intermountain, sagebrush country myself, I think, once again, they got it just right!

Hi Griphos,

thanks for those great pictures and the kind words.

I once hiked along and then across the Cascade Range dropping down to Lake Chelan via Holden and then taking the ferry down the lake to hitch-hike back to my car. It really is astounding how the wet forest first turns into dry forest and then into sagebrush over a fairly short distance.

Cheers, Holger
