SGunard
You advertise the above product as having "6400 castle" (sic). Is this really true? It seems unlikely that North West France would have that many!

Nick, me thinks the Aerosoft and the Orbx products are identical. And in the Aerosoft product description, which you have quoted, it says "6400 castle". Anyway, that number seems to be quite realistic for this area. Edit: BTW, I think the definition of castle differs between the French and the British. Nick Cooper
Hello, I don't think that they are identical at all. The description of the product offered at Orbx Direct reads thus: This product includes all the airports and airfields already available in our "VFR FRANCE North-West" product and is intended for users wishing to acquire only airports and airfields in this region. The description of the product with a different name offered at Aerosoft reads: France VFR North-West MSFS is a pack bringing together in a single product all the elements and infrastructures necessary for practicing VFR flight in the North-West area of France. SGunard
Yes Nick, there's two different products, one of which is just the airports without all the other POIs. Orbx sells both. As Wolfko says, apparently it does look like a realistic number. I had no idea there were so many in France. There must be one for every town, village and hamlet! Well, as they say, 'you learn something new every day'!
wolfko
In French and in German the the equivalents of the word castle (Château, Schloss) are very often used also for mansions and palaces. So many of those 6400 buildings would not be considered to be a castle by native English speakers.
