Pinto
Just upgraded to latest Orbx Central. All existing scenery updated as part of installation. Only problem was with YBAS - installed with1 file failing to extract. Tried the verify option, no luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled YBAS. Error still apparent - 1 file failed to extract. Any suggestions?
Nick Cooper
Hello, please use the Clear tab to empty your Temporary Files folder in Orbx Central. Then if you made a backup, temporarily remove it from its folder and run Verify Files again.
Pinto
Thanks Nick. There was 0B in the temp storage folder, but cleared the folder anyway. Moved ybas in Backup folder elsewhere, then re-ran Verify. Same result - 1 file failed to extract. I then uninstalled YBAS, then reinstalled and this time 2 files failed to extract. I ran Verify and that came back with 1 file FTE. 7 zip files created in Backup folder with 468mb. Tried this a couple of times, always with the same outcome. Where to now? Nick Cooper
Hello, could you attach a copy of your Orbx central log file please?
Pinto
Originally installed in May 2019 via the older version FTX. Log file attached, along with central.json if that is of any help. Thanks Nick - appreciate your work. Cheers Peter central.log central.json
Nick Cooper
Hello, this seems to be the salient part of the log: Quote 2020-07-31T06:13:51.248Z [INFO] [Saturn] - Extract chunk C:\Users\HOME-G~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Orbx\temp\octemp\chunks\ab97b8b1-9275-49f8-9284-266be1a48e39.c.zip 2020-07-31T06:13:51.248Z [INFO] [Saturn] - Extract chunk C:\Users\HOME-G~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Orbx\temp\octemp\chunks\4ad783bc-f90c-4c2e-a773-1c9c83e6f8c9.c.zip 2020-07-31T06:13:51.250Z [INFO] [Saturn] - [ERROR] Failed to copy file to the destination: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Orbx/Scripts/orbx_cpl_ybas.xml Although the Clear button should have done this, or so I am given to understand, please try deleting C:\Users\HOME-G~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Orbx and then try verify files again. Pinto
Hi Nick, Installation now ok. However, there were several steps taken to get there: 1. Deleted Orbx folder, retried with same result 2. Noted in log file a mention about IO error... 2020-08-03T01:27:46.186Z [INFO] [Saturn] - Nothing to convert. 2020-08-03T01:27:46.186Z [INFO] [Saturn] - Running MainStage with ssd concurrency. I'm using a third party app to group my scenery files, so I edited the settings to unselect YBAS scenery. Other Orbx scenery didn't seem to worry about this, so maybe of no issue? 4. Did an uninstall, verified scenery files removed, checked and removed \Temp\Orbx 5. Installed YBAS again, this time no errors. Verified files - no errors. Thanks for your help with this. Regards Peter
