TigerTigerM
Quote Operating system: Win 10 Simulator: P3D v4.5 Screenshot: Issue: o Issue: Orbx-Central blocked Have traced problems with Orbx-Central failing to load or posting error messages to Avast Antivirus. OC is ending up in a "Virus Chest" that appears to be a new 'feature' of Avast. Now need to find how to disable that feature. TTM
TigerTigerM
Here is a fix that is working for me at the moment. Open Avast Antivirus Left Hand Side of the Avast screen (LHS), click on Protection Button. Next screen click on the Virus Chest button A list of Quarantined 'viruses ' comes up. If OrbxCentralWorker.exe is in there, hover mouse over LHS of that row, a box should appear, click on that box. This essentially selects that row for the next action. Another box should appear at the bottom of the Avast screen, "Delete Selected". Ignore that. To the right of that box is a square with 3 dots. Click on that. It brings a new menu up. In that menu click on "Restore & add Exception" This should restore the blocked OrbxCentralWorker.exe file & it is now treated as an exception to Avast's Virus rules & is not blocked/dumped in the Virus Chest. The sharp eyed among you may have noticed that Avast was treating my Advanced System Care .exe as a Virus too. TTM
Dazkent
Hi Guys I have just had this pop up when loading Orbx central. I have not moved any files to the virus chest. Is this a false positive? and do i just need to create an exception for this? Never had the message before until today kind regards Daz
Nick Cooper
Hello, yes, I would just do that. Sometimes a virus definition update can cause this and it is nothing to worry about.
