olderndirt
First it was Mull - the journey continues up to Skye. This time leaving from Mull's Glenforsa airport in an amphib plane. The Isle of Eigg - population 105 - lots of wind turbines making kilowatts. A short swim to the west is the Isle of Rum - population 30 in the hamlet of Kinloch which basically supports Kinloch hotel (formerly Castle). Taking a short (upper) cut on Rum. Welcome to Skye home of, arguably, Scotland's most scenic mountains. The mountains are named 'The Cuillin', in two sections - the red in the foreground and the black in the rear. The black Cuillin features 12 'Monros' and are a mountaineer's delight.
