How large is the download initially for both the SD &/ or HD?

The download for the original is iirc about two gig.

For HD, from the Orbx Central product website here:

Installation size: 210 GB of disk space required, 300 GB free space before install.

 

For SD, from the Orbx Central product website here:

Installation size: 54 GB of disk space required, 90 GB free space before install.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I was asking is that my internet download speed isn't the fastest so depending on size of the download I might have it come down overnight.

So - for initial download the HD = 210 and for SD = 54?

if this is the case I may go for the SD. Thanks.

I use SD and above 2-2500 ft I cannot see any difference between the HD version and SD. With the SD you get a smaller download, no conversion from jpg to dds (much quicker installation time), you can have higher graphics settings and it loads quicker. Unless you are a very low and slow flyer SD is super.
