kasperp3d
Hello, I have been having an issue with P3D v4.5.12.30293, whenever i am on approach into an FTX EU covered airport the autogen doesn't load, it loads perfectly anywhere else with any other ORBX addon, just not EU. The only fix is setting the FPS limit to 30 or less, but that cuts over half of my FPS. Have you heard of this and do you have a fix? Nick Cooper
Hello, welcome to the forums. If you lock your frame rate to 30 and there is no problem, wouldn't it make sense to do that?
kasperp3d
Hello. It would, but my system runs on about 40 fps and with a 30 fps limiter it cuts it to about 15-20 fps.
Nick Cooper
Have you tried the P3D v4 frame rate slider?
kasperp3d
That is what I use for frame rate limiting
Nick Cooper
The symptom you describe seems to indicate that your PC is not keeping up with the demands made of it. If you arrive somewhere and there is no autogen but you then stay there and wait, does the autogen eventually load? Also, what are your Pcs system specs? kasperp3d
The autogen only loads if I have the limiter on. My specs are: I7 4790k GTX 1060ti 16 gb ram 2tb ssd
kasperp3d
I just don't understand how it can load anywhere else. Also the problem never occured before P3D v.4.

Also the problem never occured before P3D v.4.5 Try setting your LOD Level of Detail slider (and/or your autogen draw distance slider) to medium or low. That might help. P3DV4.5 allows more distant autogen to load into the computer but at a cost. And it's possible your 16GB of RAM is no longer sufficient. I had to increase mine to 32GB recently, and it definitely helps in some areas.
Nick Cooper
Hello, did you install Open LC Europe to an Orbx Central Library? If you did, try installing it into the P3D v4 Folder instead.
kasperp3d
@John Dow I have already tried that, unfortunately.
kasperp3d
@Nick Cooper Open LC is downloaded straight into P3D
Nick Cooper
Do you have any products from other developers installed and if so, what are they?
kasperp3d
I have airport addons from Aerosoft, FSDG, Flightbeam, UK2000, Drzewiecki, Flytampa, PacSim and Vidan Design. Other than that I have QW, PMDG, FSlabs and Captainsim planes installed

Nick Cooper
Did you try John's suggestion of lowering the autogen sliders? Aslo, with your frame rate unlimited, if you wait, does the autogen eventually appear?

You can also use a Scenery Config Manager (freeware) to quickly untick all unnecessary sceneries when starting a flight, that has been shown to improve loading times as well as performance. kasperp3d
Just did a test flight with only ORBX EU and the two airports, unfortunately it did not work.... Same results, no autogen
GSalden
A framerate of 30 is more than enough for a smooth Flightsim. You want smoothness and good working scenery. Striving for 40 or more fps plus good working scenery is not needed and your setup is not capable of that... Nicks advice on using 30 is the way to go. It has been advised on all major Flightsim sites too.
kasperp3d
@GSalden Thanks for your answer, the problem is that if i turn the limit to 30, the fps goes to like 15-20 fps which is not really ideal
