Did you install, update or make any changes within Orbx Central with the latest version that could have resulted in this texture issue? Are your products installed into a Library or into the simulator? Switching back to FTX Central 3 is unlikely to have any affect on this issue. anzac1977 Posted September 16, 2019 Share Posted September 16, 2019 I had the same issue flying between NZ and AU. Changing back to FTX central 3 from obrx central has fixed the issue. If you had encountered issues previously I'd suggest enabling 'Advanced Layering' under Settings > Insertion Point and seeing if the issue persists. I have also tried creating the scenery load order the exact same as what FTX central 3 does, same error. The first screen shot is from obrx certral creating the config, the second is from FTX central 3 config. Only the scenery load order was changed, no other items were touched. Guest Josh Koz Posted September 16, 2019 Share Posted September 16, 2019 If you've set the scenery order to match the order produced by FTX Central 3 and the issue persists, this leaves me to believe that there is an issue with the current build of the scenery that Orbx Central is downloading, not the scenery layering. Good morning Josh, made no changes within orbx central, products are in the simulator P3d v4.5 on my separate D: drive, no migration of anything. Library in default location on my C: drive. I tried and ticked advanced layering no fix. Sync simulator ran ok, I did use lorby organiser to move my third party airports to the top of all orbx stuff, still no fix. FTX 3 works no issues while v4 does not, straight swapping between the two will show the error. Tested this twice with the same result. Good afternoon Well this is in the past tense since I am still back on central 3, but I did verify global vector and ran it. I have no idea if the elevation adjustments had been applied. If it is not enabled the problem is there is no problem, now I am angry at myself for not checking that again. I have attached the two scenery configs with the options on and off. What would advance layering change to cause the use of land textures at sea? PHNL - Advance layering on Advance layering off. @Alan Metcalf No worries, I like trying to solve things like this, I think i need a job as an audit-er or anyalst! The advanced layering option and the dodgy base was the problem for me. I will be honest and say I am not a great fan of the new central, perhaps it will grow on me. I did not interfere with any of the process or modify anything, I left the scenery order and layering all to orbx. So what next, all I wish for is my scenery to work and look correct. Currently no, I left the insertion point at it's default position which is at the top. So is that the correct process, leave as default advanced layering and then intervene and place the insertion point at the first entry below all the add-on airports? The scenery order read by central is a little out from the true order read in p3d, so you have to check with lorby first before you choose the last add-on in central. With everything correct you can see central shows Flytampa-libraries as the last entry of my airports. Lorby and p3d show correctly Fly tampa las vegas as the last entry. If I choose FlyTampa-libraries as central suggests as the insertion point, then some of my airports end up below the insertion point. This causes issues in what you see in the sim.
