Can I still use FTX Central 3 to download and install new purchases?

Generally all products released to date are available through FTX Central 3, although the latest version of those products may only be in Orbx Central.

 

Products released in the future may not be available in FTX Central 3.

So if I purchase Barcelona City Scene, I will be able to download and install it with FTX Central 3? Will it be installed the traditional way or is it going to be installed via add-on xml? I just want to stay status quo at this point.

Correct. If you haven't switched to Orbx Central, you can still use FTX Central 3 to install Barcelona the traditional way.

I want to buy Buildings HD but it says that i need ORBX Central .  Will Ftx Crntral3 work for this purchase?

I don't want to buy it if it is forcing me to move forward with ORBX Central in the short term. Ill just wait its not going anywhere.

There is a clearly stated policy that FTX Central will not be supported indefinitely.

I point this out solely so that you can make a fully informed decision as to how you wish to proceed.

I made the transition from FTX Central to Orbx Central without any embarrassment.
Orbx Central has everything there was in the previous and some more facilities.
Not accepting evolution is the same as going to a ball and being left out watching others have fun.

Not sure who that was directed at. No offense to you but that is a rather lousy analogy. And if you haven't noticed, the new ORBX Central is causing significant problems for people so I'd rather not jump in until everything is resolved and working nicely.
