PFS
Apparently there's a way to toggle airport labels in P3Dv4. I'm using P3Dv4.5. The method I read about involves adding an entry to the Standard.xml file within the C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Controls folder: <Entry> <Key>CTRL+SHIFT+Q</Key> <Down>TOGGLE_AIRPORT_NAME_DISPLAY</Down> </Entry> Has anyone had any success using this method? (I haven't) Is there a different way? Is it possible that P3Dv4.5 doesn't allow/include this feature? I miss FSDiscover... :-( Thanks, Paul
flya150
Hi Paul, I use to use this all the time with FSX but when I switched to P3d4 v1-v5 I can no longer use this. Maybe a request is needed over at the Lockheed p3D forums. Scott

I use FSUIPC for P3D by Peter Dowson, all of my Controls are programmed in P3Dv4.5 except for 1 button on my Saitek Joystick, in this case number 8. Once FSUIPC is installed into P3D it will show from the Addons in the Menu Bar. Once opened, click on the Buttons + Switches, in the middle you will see Joy and Btn boxes, press the required button on your Controller, the relevant XML number will be entered in the Btn box and the dropdown arrow under Control sent when button pressed will become active. There are a very long list of options to choose from, Toggle Airport Name Display is way down the list. Select that and it is displayed in the search box, press OK and you are good to go. I must point out I have the paid version and cannot guarantee it is available in the free version.
flya150
Smudger, Thanks for that info. I have a paid version of FSUIPC and followed your instruction. So now I have my airport labels back. Thanks to you too Paul. Scott
