MurrayD
Note to mods - some of these shots contain OZx scenery. I apologise if they are in breach of forum rules. It was a beautiful winter evening here on the south coast of New South Wales, so thought I'd jump in the Cherokee at Wollongong (YWOL) and fly to my old stomping ground in Taree (YTRE) - a trip of just over 180nm. We pick up just north of Sydney....... VFR all the way........ I swear! I did a touch and go at a little (and unlit) airstrip called Wallis Island. Its about 10nm south of Taree. There was just enough light left to make out the runway on approach. I have flown into it in real life many times when I was learning to fly as a teenager and know it like the back of my hand. I wouldn't recommend trying it in this light otherwise! Nice climb out views though Those bloody birds on final to 04....... Safely parked up in Taree. Cheers. VH-KDK
Beautiful views and an enjoyable flight. It is fine to show OZx scenery as it is freeware.
