Liveo
Hello, I have bought lots of stuff in the sale including all of the new GBs. I am on a Linux machine. I have downloaded the Crossplatform zip twice, but have been unable to unzip (I get errors no matter which compression program I use). I also tried the manual download, but that is just full of other zips (which contain more zips!!). I know I am missing something like some install instructions. Can somebody tell me what I am not doing. Thanks a lot, Paul
Nick Cooper
Hello, welcome to the forums. The "Manual download" is of no use to you, as it is designed for FTX Central. Presumably your downloads of the Cross Platform files are corrupt, as they are designed to be unzipped, copied and pasted. If there is such a thing as a download mananger for your OS, I would strongly recommend that you use that.
Liveo
I will try that now then. I downloaeded the CrossPlatform version again last night and it still didn't work:

Liveo
Hello Nick, I downloaded the file again using a download manager called Persopolis. Got the same message as above when I tried to unzip it. Paul
Ben McClintock
Hi Paul, I've just tried extracting the zip and it worked fine for me. However, I did use 7-zip. Could you please try with 7-zip?
Liveo
Hello Ben, Thanks for the reply. I tried 7zip (which is command line p7zip on Ubuntu) and still got an error: Paul

Nick Cooper
Hello, You last screen shot seems to show that you are trying to unzip the TEGB Central cross platform download, yet your topic title is TEGB North. Which is it please? If it is both, then the likelihood of them being corrupt on the server is even smaller.
Liveo
I have tried both. I have tried the North 2-3 times and the central once.
Liveo
Anything else? I have had these files for two weeks. I am dying to try them out!!
Nick Cooper
Sorry, perhaps @Ben McClintock can offer some advice.
Ben McClintock
Hi Liveo, I downloaded the same zip you have, and it extracted fine for me with 7-zip, so I'm not sure what's going on there. I suspect it may be a corrupted download on your end. I'm in the process of re-zipping and uploading the files elsewhere for you (they're quite large). Liveo
Maybe I could test your new Central Beta. Is it not a good opportunity for it?
Ben McClintock
Hi Liveo, I've sent you an email with the download links - sorry for the delay. Having another Linux user on the beta would be great. I'll email you in a few days regarding this.
