answered Why does loading terrain data always stop at 6% for a bit?

I dont have a problem, just wondering why this is, but this is for everyone right, why does the loading bar always freeze at 6% for a little bit when your sim is loading? Why not freeze at 2%, 8% or 10%? Is it something that was done dileberatley? That's my only guess...

There was some discussion about this on the Avsim forum some years back. Apparently it is terrain mesh loading at 6%. High resolution mesh means longer loading.

 

Someone here may be able to explain it more fully than I can
