Really Blurry Ground Textures at Skagit

Recommended Posts

Hello,

you seem not to have a detail1.bmp file active.

You might try adding one from ORBX\ORBX\Scripts\Aero\Source.

You will find several choices in the named folders.

The file should go into scenery\World\texture and be allowed to overwrite.

You will also need 16x anisotropic filtering set.

Hello Nick,

Thanks for the quick response.  Well I did as you suggested.  It definitely cleared up the blurries, however I have no runway numbers or centerline.  Any other suggestions?

I'm not 100% sure, but this could be an issue with ObjectFlow in P3DV4.

Here are a couple of screenshots of my CYSE Airport with ObjectFlow disabled (the runway is default (REX)):

Please check your FTX Central 3 settings to make sure ObjectFlow 2 is enabled.  Try also cycling the setting if it is already enabled (Disable it, save, then enable and save).

Cheers,

Scott,

Thanks for your suggestion!!  It looks as though your Squamish isn't showing up correct as well.  Most of your buildings are not present just as mine.  As you can see Nick has been trying to find a solution.  Hopefully there will be one soon. I will try your suggestion now and then report back. :)

Dang,

I thought for sure we were on to something but looks as though the problem is still there. I disabled object flow.  Restarted my computer. I then enabled object flow again after I did a restart.   I also disabled the hot air balloons just to make sure I would see the new scenery download.  The changes took place without the hot air balloons but still no runway markings.

In which case, objectflow is still not working on your PC.

Make sure that you have and are using FTX Central version 3.3.0.6 and P3D v4.3

Go to C:\Users\your name\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\Orbx ObjectFlow 2

and open add-on.xml.

Make sure that the text reads thus:

Quote

<SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on">
    <AddOn.Name>Orbx ObjectFlow 2</AddOn.Name>
    <AddOn.Description>Allows Orbx scenery to display dynamic content.</AddOn.Description>
    <AddOn.Component>
        <Category>DLL</Category>
        <Path>C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Orbx\FTXCentral\v3.3.0.6\Orbx_ObjectFlow_x64.dll</Path>
        <DLLStartName>module_init</DLLStartName>
        <DLLStopName>module_deinit</DLLStopName>
    </AddOn.Component>
</SimBase.Document>

Make sure that the objectflow box on your FTX Central settings page is ticked and that you have clicked on Save.

Make sure that the objectflow box in your P3D add-ons menu is ticked, if not the simulator must be restarted after the box is ticked.

Nick this may be on me.  If so my apologies.  I just recently updated to P3D4.4.  I am no longer running version 4.3.

Hello,

something is preventing your objectflow from working and this is causing all your problems with the airports.

Here is the evidence.

1. Please make sure that your anti virus software is not interfering with it.

2. Please go to C:\Users\your name\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons and delete the Orbx ObjectFlow 2 folder.

3.Please install a new copy of FTX Central, like this:

and then update it to version 3.3.0.6, run it and wait until you have seen "Activating Orbx scenery"

4. Make sure that the objectflow box on your FTX Central settings page is ticked and that you have clicked on Save.

5. Make sure that the objectflow box in your P3D add-ons menu is ticked, if not the simulator must be restarted after the box is ticked.

 Try S 43 again.
