Aussie123
A quick question. I notice in the Edit Area of each entry in the the P3Dv4 Scenery Library that a 'Cache this Scenery' and a 'Use Direct' radio button still exists. Is there ever a reason nowadays to take it off Use direct? Aussie
Nick Cooper
Hello, I have no idea, perhaps you could ask the question at the P3D forum?
Triplane
No reason at all. The Scenery Cache was originally put there when we could buy add-on scenery on a floppy disc. The idea was to load all the scenery to the HDD to be used during a flight. Really old stuff and not applicable at all anymore. I've often wondered why LM didn't eliminate it..........Doug
Aussie123
Thanks Doug. I did use the feature years ago when everything was smaller (Drives, memory, scenery, satisfaction ). The option caught my eye when I was adjusting my scenery and wanted to make sure my understanding of its use was correct. Cheers, Aussie
