MotoDave
Austraila, YBMY vicinity. The only thing I've added to FSX/A is Germany North_South and 2 ORBX PNW payware airports.
petfy
Wouldn't be using P3D by any chance, as this appears to be seasonal flooding which P3D can't render accurately?
petfy
This is in FSX.
AnkH
According to the ORBX guys this is really due to the seasonal differences that worked in FSX (dry river beds and dry lakes in summer time, water in river and lakes in winter time) but does not longer work in P3Dv4... MotoDave
Hello friends, FSX/A. I'm not sure why this thread has been tagged as answered. Seasonal differences is the official company answer?
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, actually, the seasonal waterbodies work as intended in FSX. However, if you're using either "Mid 1.x" or "High 1.x" as your water effects slider setting (Settings - Display - Scenery) then those square tiles often appear on these waterbodies in their flooded state due to some odd interaction with the general reflection overlays/shaders. Any other water effects setting should work OK though. Cheers, Holger
MotoDave
Thank you. I'm currently using water high 1.0 Thanks for the knowledge base information on the legacy display engine. Regards, Dave
