Jon Clarke
Does the new lighting still rely on the autogen vegetation setting level? if you have chosen not to have the "new" lighting" in FTX addon via it's control panel would you have no lights at all. I could test but am hoping for a knowledgeable person ( dev?) to advise. Many thanks
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, the newer lighting type for major highways and intersections ("ORBX!OPENLC_!EUROPE_LIGHTS", etc., and also within FTX Regions) are placed as objects rather than autogen, which is why their draw distance is much farther and they don't "pop in". They are separate and thus additional to the existing autogen-based lighting within our landclass and photoreal ground textures. Cheers, Holger
Jon Clarke
Many thanks again Holger. I like the New lighting. It's draw distance I am after but am seeking not to have a large performance hit with double or treble lighting. As you know I have an additional 3rd party addon that also has lighting and am seeking Nirvana as far as effect, draw distance and minimum performance hit is concerned.
