active Still Floating lights

 I have ORBX global base + vectors + openLC NA and + EU Norway

I experience the floating lights over the rwys in all aiports. They float about 1m agl. I usually fly the Majestic Q400 that is has not an high level cockpit...so these lights are not really nice to see.

I have run the vectors utility for  airport elevation but..nothing to do.

 

Is there a fix for this?

I assume you're referring to airports at high latitudes or altitudes? If so that's a known issue of P3D itself as described here: https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/89165-floating-runway-lights/?do=findComment&comment=814667

This is interesting, I have never thought this was an issue related to latitude/altitude but, I have to say that I often fly in Norway or north Europe.

 

In any case I realize that it is an unsolved issued by P3D....so....we can only claim a solution and wait.

If the floating taxiway center lights annoy you, there is a solution to replace them by better ones (however, it costs some money). Take a look at the following video:

I would like to hear also the opinion of ORBX staff:

 

Could this addon create any issue in the ORBX Norway (or others) scenery with the "standard airport"?

And what about the impact on the ORBX airport?

I have not watched the 23 minutes video but as it appears to relate to a payware product

by another developer, I will have to ask you to refer to that developer.

Just a note: The problem with the floating lights described in the video appears in ALL P3D default airports that use taxiway center lights, so it is not necessarily an ORBX thing.
