Saying Goodbye to the iconic 747

Now that Boeing has decided it will end construction of its iconic 747, here is an opportunity to see the aircraft from what may be the best seat in the house, and I do not mean from The Cockpit, although I guess that ain't so bad....:-)

 

I have to admit, this looks as if it would be almost more fun that simming.....:-)

Two stories about the iconic 747 which I will always remember:

 

My mother canceled  trip to Cairo on a 747-100 because they had in a piano in the first-class lounge. She was convinced it was too heavy to fly.

 

My family and I relocated from California to New York on a 747-200.  Our kids were 7 and 10 years old. They loved the piano in the first-class lounge,

 

I guess it's all a matter of perspective..........

 

The Queen will always be my favorite. I guess I've logged a half-million miles on her (RL).
