Dadtom65
Why is it that whenever I start a flight in FSX and you get to the actual flying screen about 10 seconds later or less it will load again but much quicker this time. It's no problem, just wondering why it does that. Oh and this is just when first loading your flight or whatever, it doesn't happen again. Derek. Jorge Amengol
My guess is that you're seeing just how any modern machine behaves bringing the most recently used stuff from disk to memory and level caches, thus the next time you call it it is "closer". Benny
This happening to me also lately. I never saw this before. Sometime I enter an airport, fine, try to choose an airplane and POUFFF FSX close and load again! After it's loaded all is fine. Ben
Guest
By default, once FSX is running, it starts loading the default saved flight location. So, the flight starts quicker if you wait a little then launch it. But, if you change your mind, the loading time comes back to idle. You can disable it into fsx.cfg by adding: [Main] DisablePreload=

spud
FSX has to be one of the most 'Hate/Love' programs ever concieved, why else would we put up with its behavior after all these years.
wolfko
That is the same with P3d and has been the same with FS9, FS2002, FS2000, FS98 etc. So I got eventually used to it.
