rcoultas62
Hello, My apologies if this is posted under the wrong forum. Maybe under "mis-fit" airports, but looks like a vector issue? Anyway, on approach to Rwy 32 at KBFM (mobile AL downtown), the shoreline water is running up onto the airport boundary. P3D v 3.34 Thanks! Richard Lincoln
Hello, It is certainly the same on my end, I will contact the Developer with your issue so hopefully it can be fixed.
Nick Cooper
I think it's a misfits issue. Vector has corrected the shoreline but the problem is the misplaced airport. I have linked this topic in that topic.

spud
FSX shows the same anomaly as rcoultas62 describes. According to AirNav the KBFM coordinates are: FAA INFORMATION EFFECTIVE 15 SEPTEMBER 2016 Location FAA Identifier: BFM Lat/Long: 30-37-36.4000N / 088-04-05.1000W 30-37.606667N / 088-04.085000W 30.6267778 / -88.0680833 (estimated) Elevation: 26.2 ft. / 8.0 m (surveyed) Variation: 01W (2005) From city: 3 miles S of MOBILE, AL Time zone: UTC -5 (UTC -6 during Standard Time) Zip code: 36605 I slewed the A/C to this location and it is located on the airport in FSX scenery so the airport is not mis-located. R/W 32 does in fact extend to a built up portion of the shoreline and ends at the waters edge in real life and the water in FSX scenery is climbing up the shore. Nick Cooper
Thank you for that input. This is default FSX, also featuring climbing water. Not too clever if compared to the real thing Here is the default airport boundary fence with Vector active The solution is indeed to move or resize the airport and its flatten. StefanSchaefer
THX Nick. That is correct. Airport flattens and boundary polygons have a synthetic size drawing around the runway and buildings. They usually kill everything else, like buildings or trees to ensure "safe" approach. They do not take care about shore lines. That is no Vector issue.
