CAC8 all messed since latest libraries

Recommended Posts

Since running the latest Libraries this week       CAC8     is not working properly  . Never loads or I get double stuff.   I checked the migration tool and all is green. Proper scenery is checked in the librar but It doesn't load. There is either a mesh problem, no docks or double ships. Ferries run themselves on the rocks as well. FSX, no Vector, no additional mesh FTXPNW .

Hi @Double J,

I believe this might be related to the bug in FTX Central that causes it to create too many entries in the dll.xml.

Can you upload your dll.xml please? It's located at %appdata%\Microsoft\FSX\dll.xml.

Additionally, as a temporary workaround to the FTX Central bug, please edit %localappdata%\Orbx\ftxc.json and replace "orbx_ftxc_forceobjectflow":"True" with "orbx_ftxc_forceobjectflow":"False".

Hello JJ,

I'll leave the problem of things showing up or not to Ben, but I thought I would describe what's going on with the ferries.

The default ship and ferry traffic is guided by the trafficboats.bgl file and the default is based on the default scenery which is quite simplified.  Orbx PNW, with its accurate shorelines adds many small islands and islets  that are not present in the default scenery with the result that some of the ferry routes try to go right through solid land.  Besides that,  the ferries are rather unrealistic.  (The WSF ferry in Canadian waters as shown in your screenshots is an example .) These issues got me started on the PNW ferry system which offers a remedy.

I can't access the xml. I did manage to change the true to false.

You probably need to go to your View options in Windows File Explorer and

select "Show hidden files, folder and drives".

The paths, if you prefer to go that way are:

C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

C:\Users\ Your name \AppData\Local\Orbx
