zazaboeing
Just a random question crossing my mind here I was remembering those LAGO sceneries back in 2000, which were great by that time, I remember them being "specialists" in PNW and Italy (if I'm not wrong). Are there any ex-LAGO member in ORBX staff? Anyone knows what happened to the company? Thanks!
Jon Clarke
Yes I remember fondly the LAGO site and it's addons. Had quite few of them. The company disappeared in the early 2000's I think. I know that one of the main guys there at the time, joined Aerosoft. It was Mathijs Kok.
Vora
Aa far as I remember LAGO was only a publisher. In the end the publisher failed to pay his developpers and the business folded consequently. Mathijs Kok changed from LAGO to Aerosoft and persuaded some developpers to publish under the Aerosoft umbrella. I remember that the Twotter and F-16 originally were LAGO products in FS9 and changed to Aerosoft in FSX. Concening PNW I don't really remember any LAGO product, but I do remember the Georender series by Richard Goldstein, inluding Darrington, Orcas Island, Diamond Point and Emma Field. Were they published by LAGO?

Were they published by LAGO? They were at first and Richard Goldstein is, in my book, the man who invented the concept of the small, atmospheric airfield that the OrbX teams have developped so successfully. He'd deserve to be a FS Hall of Famer if such thing existed. He took a wrong turn afterwards with a so-so PR product for Alaska when Holger Sandman was releasing his much more convincing Misty Fjords. I hope I don't mix my chronology too bad though, that was so long ago

Would explain why most (if not all) of LAGO's titles have been redone under the Aerosoft brand.

Hi if I remember well the beautiful fictional Emma Field took his name from the daughter of Mathijs and the Georender sceneries used for visual and sound effects the vistamare and vimacore dlls by Lago Cheers
zazaboeing
Quote Darrington, Orcas Island, Diamond Point and Emma Field. Were they published by LAGO? Those georender sceneries! I thought they were developed by LAGO and LAGO was a software developer like ORBX is. Nice to know so much facts here! You guys are FS wikipedia! Thanks! Jon Clarke
I used to spend ages at Emma Field. It was a classic and very advanced for the time.
