Jon Clarke Posted January 11, 2016 Share Posted January 11, 2016 I write this in this forum as I am using OLC Europe, but feel free to move to a more suitable section: Aviano LIPA is awful in my sim. I have aircraft sitting on grass(see pic). and the elevations are bad as well(see pic). Now I have tried everything to make it look OK but to no avail. I have tried the following. Disabled LIPA in Vector, Enabled LIPA in Vector, disabled Vector, reduced mesh from 2 mts to 5 mts, disabled Ultimate mesh Europe, removed the MT6 afcad bgl, but none of those actions has improved the situation. Is Aviano just poorly rendered in P3d or is there some other action I can try? Any assistance appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Looks like the elevation is the same as i see as i notice the raised elevation in your shot 1 on the right hand side of the runway. I will go and see if i have the same view as you by replicating the view you posted. The pic is too distant for me to see if there were aircraft parked on the grass. Thanks for your help. Voyager Posted January 13, 2016 Share Posted January 13, 2016 What you want is some more details. Note that in the first set o shots LIPA was enabled on the AEC tool. In this, as it should be, it is disabled. But no matter: the elevation or depression that have to be noted It is due to the correction of the ground around made by Vector trying to complete the depression or elevation of the aerodrome polygon, since it is flat on the default project! Mine looks just like that. I have looked for an addon but none seem to work. There is a free one at avsim or a Cloud9 payware but it was for FS2004 ! Neither worked.
