Jon Clarke
Took off from Santa Maria KSMX to Vandenberg AFB just nearby and then on to Lompoc KLBC. All elevations fine at KSMX, but at Vandenberg AFB the runway is in a huge crater. Overflew the AFB and landed just a couple of miles away at Lompoc KLBC and all elevations fine. Any ideas on this elevation discrepancy considering the range is only a few miles apart from each airport. and how do i rectify this anomaly? Nick Cooper
You might try disabling AEC for KVGB in the Vector control panel? AEC enabled AEC disabled
Jon Clarke
That did it thanks Nick ! Is this a permanent solution or will i have to remember to disable it after adding additional addons in future and running the post addon routine of orbxlibs and vector AEC? Is it not unusual for an airport within a full fat region to require disabling? I have not come across it before as the full fats have elevation files within the scenery. Nick Cooper
You only have to do this once, for each airport. It is not unique, KSEA is one that is very often asked about. No airport, in a region or otherwise is immune but most don't need changing. You can run the auto config, I prefer to correct them as I find them.
