irishluck
Hi all, just got Socal going, and whenever I fly around it at any decent speed the texture loading can't keep. The problem was even worse coming from outside the scenery into it (KSFO->KLAX, I dont have NorCAl). So I end up with super low res textures that are worse than default ones. http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/7Q2http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/7QBhttp://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/7QH
fltsimguy
I have a low end machine, and my decent speed is most likely not an F-35 JSF. I have no problem or issue with texture loading, in fact my experience so far is exceptional. And have attained speeds of 240 kts. without any issue. Perhaps you could elaborate on exactly what you mean by decent speed in a jet if that is what you referring to. Blurries are usually a result of your computer not being able to render the scenery keeping up with the demand you are placing on it. cheers
irishluck
Ok even though it's an F-22 I was only going maybe two hundred knots, just used it to get up and take a look asap. This same effect occurs in say an A320 arriving at normal cruise, just anazingly low res. I'll grant my machine is a few years old but it should do better than this. Jordan King
Which sim are you using? I actually had the same issue today around KAJO in FSX SE but on P3D v3.1 it runs fine.
norfolk mike
You don't mention the type of hard-drive you have the scenery loaded onto, but anything other than an SSD could probably use a good defrag after having such a sizable slice of scenery stuck on it. Holger Sandmann
Hi there, on your third screenshot it does look as if you're using a rather high slider setting for moving road traffic. SCA places traffic on many more roads than the default scenery does and with up to four lanes in each direction, where appropriate. While it looks great (and fairly realistic) moving road traffic is a known resource hog so you may want to experiment with lower settings, at least while flying in urban areas. Cheers, Holger
