Flyingjafo
So I have my P3D V3 on B drive with my Orbx England on B drive as well, B drive has 111 GB free space left. FTX Central says I only have 7 GB and that 10 is minimum for all things to work right. I do have C drive with 7 GB left but never installed anything Orbx to it. I was wondering why FTX Central is concerned with C drive when It lives on B drive? Should I be concerned about future installs?
Stewart Hobson
Cuz unwrapping any Orbx downloads you have purchased from FSS takes place on C drive. Answer to second question: Yes. For this reason.
Tim Harris
Hi Jefferson, If you are installing into P3DV3 you should have a Flightsimstore order number for FTX England (for example: FSS0123456), can you provide this please?
Flyingjafo
Hello Tim, I just converted my DVD version to the downloadable at FSS and did not realize the order number change. My new order number is FSS0424065.
Tim Harris
Thanks for that! (note.. include this number in your signature to avoid getting asked this again in future) As Stewart described above all installers will unwrap the product in the OS/temp folder, so you'll need to free up some space on your OS hard drive, regardless of where the simulator is installed
Nick Cooper
Probably your best solution is to move the Windows temp folder off your C drive. There are many many internet threads on this subject, of which this is one. This will solve the problem with the product installers, however with that little free space, it is past time that you considered your hard drive upgrade options.
