[Help please] Incorrect install Global/Vector/Europe LC

HI all

I just installed Global Vector and Europe LC on top of already installed Global Base to my Prepar3d v.3
I downloaded the latest installer last night, already downloaded Library being the latest.
I installed Vector first followed by LC then finishing with the Library install.
As instructed during the install, I made sure that FTX is set to Global before proceeding with

the install. I do not have any other FTX scenery/texture installed anyway.

My Global Base was installed fine as I have made a few flights already in the past week.
Something has not properly installed regarding the Vector and LC.

Attached are screen grabs at and near LSZR airport in Swiss.
AI cars are running over water and field where there are no visible road textures.
There are large water areas along the mountain slopes with AI cars again crossing over water.

Looking at the scenery file (attached), there are mutiple entries of LC and none for Vector.
This looks completely different from the same Global/Vector/LC install I had in my old FSX.

Please help me in getting this sorted.
Thank you.

Kay

#FSS0257872 (Vector)
#FSS0303269 (OpenLC/Europe)

Hi Kay

Your scenery library order should look like this...

As per page #38 of the FTX Definitive Guide...

Scenery Libary Order

3rd Party Scenery (Any scenery you wish to display above Orbx FTX scenery)

OZX Scenery (Freeware designed to fit with FTX Regional software)

FTX Full Regional Scenery & Airports

Tongass Fjords (Fills the gap between Southern Alaska and Pacific Fjords Regions)

FTX OpenLC Scenery

Named Default Scenery Entries

FSGlobal 2010 Entries

FTX Global Vector Entries (OBJ, APT, CVX, EXX)

Numbered Default Scenery Entries

FTX Global Vector Entry (AEC)

"Default Scenery"

"Default Terrainâ€

Doug, may I ask you to show me the screen grab of the properly sequences scenery library?

I have made one flight and one on-going so it is not causing my P3D to crash.

Frame rate is fine. I have some water textures pasted at locations that are obviously ground

and as I get near them the ground textures get pasted over.

I can understand your scenery library order you explained, but I am hoping that

seeing your library grab coupled with your written description will have me

understand this better.

Thank you so much.

Hi Kay,

The open lc entries need to be moved down the scenery library list, keep them in the same order and moving them down to just below bathymetry in your list should solve your problem.

cheers

Reg

Thank you for your trying to help.

I moved the LC entried below Bathymetry as you suggested but the problem remains.

Water textures appear on mountains, and they get pasted over by the ground textures as I get closer.

Also, my default AI cars travel on farmland textures and over these water textures in the mountains.

Water textures on mountains are clearly seen in my attached pic, I have red circled the cars traveling

on non-roads.

I have all the roads turned on in Vector configurator, primary, secondary, and tirtiary.

I don't see any roads that Vectore is supposed to provide.

I am attaching the pics from the latest attempt as well as my modified scenery library taken from Scenery Config Editor.

Hi all,

Thank you for all your help!

I now have it working OK!

It was Sue's comment about activating Global in FTX Central.

I had to click "Apply Group" in the FTX Central to activate it despite my

having only Global and not any other regions.

It now has italicized "active" next to my Global indication.

Attached is the same area but with proper mountain textures, more trees I think,

and the roads with cars on them. I can even see power lines now that did not exist before.

Again, thank you all.

  Hi Kay

Glad to hear things are looking better, you may also want to adjust your "FTX scenery insertion point" within FTX Central as I see your OrbxLibs are at the top of your scenery library, this means that if you install any other FTX Orbx scenery it will install above your 3rd party scenery and everything else again....
