Jon Clarke
I have NightEnvironment California and would like to know how and where the 3D lights section of NCA work. Is there a bgl within a NCA folder/file that enables the 3D lights or is this done via some other method? I want to disable the NCA lights if possible so there is not a "resource" clash. If there is a way, then i can experiment. I find NCA very different in performance to other regions and have turned off several features previously advised as helping improve performance e.g the Marina bgl and Additional windfarms bgl. Hope you can help.
Jon Clarke
I forgot to mention that I have not touched the 3D Global Lights Configurator at all so i am assuming that the 3D lights are either in default mode or not active.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, only the lights attached to urban vector roads can be deactivated, all others are an integral part of the landclass autogen system; see http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/104241-3d-lighting/?p=940934 We changed to this night lighting system because it is much easier on fps than our first method. Thus, I doubt that the 3D lights are a significant contributor to your issue; besides, they are the same everywhere meaning they can't have a bigger impact just in NCA. Cheers, Holger
Jon Clarke
Thanks Holger. Not a problem. Thought i would try to eek out as much as I could since NCA does not perform as well as the other FTX addons. Not badly, just not as well as.
