I've spent way more hours than I'll admit to just hanging around the Sunset Bar and Grill watching the aircraft and sipping good whiskey. And we (my wife of 50 years and I) are going back in December for more. If there is such a thing as a bucket list for aviation geeks it would have to include a trip to St.Maarten and PJIA (and maybe a stop at the Sunset too). You can watch the airplanes, go snorkeling, sail a 12-meter Americas Cup boat, stop by the casino, do the zip lines, or just hang out in the sun. And, finally, if all else fails and boredom starts to set in there is always the clothing-optional beach on the French side of the island.....
