  1. I comment again :banghead:

Do those of you who insist on using just the ICAO letters for your request realise that

it sends others like me - searching for an enigma coding machine - and since they are

hard to find - your requests become superfluous to many of us - and we lose interest

I dread to think what the blokes at Orbx Essendon HQ think of the time taken to look up what you want' especially if you haven't stated the sim you want included

Please - take a few seconds more and list the airport/ field you want

  2. To save myself too much embarrassment by posting this elsewhere on the forum and all the youngsters

making remarks  - like  "silly old " whatsit - I feel safe here

What the hell is this new thing called "Discord" every one seems to want me to join ???

In my day - "Discord" meant disagreements

Maybe a good name for a forum on 4 different flight sims and their merits;)

  4. I know I placed a thread on the MSFS discussion page with this title - but I think in the interest

of all our simmers - other General participants on this forum might just be interested in what is going

on in the freeware aircraft scene - namely a helicopter that MS/Asobo said unlikely to be on this sim before 22

I have never been a helicopter aficionado - but this one has me going flat out.

Now - I can fly an aircraft of sorts to an airport any where  --- and then chopper my way around the local scenery

    Stand by - Orbx Cityscapes

THIS is Simulation writ large !!!

Any plans for Matteo to port YBCG to MSFS?

Matteo did it for FSX and P3D which I loved as Gold Coast is my local airport and the default YBCG in MSFS ain’t that great.

Might as well put in my 2 cents worth - and I totally agree with Anthony - except that I would add the

Cityscape to my request because that's my home town and airport

Since UK was upgraded - I have actually started to try out MSFS and since I spent some 35 years of my

life there - I am Familiar with the country and find that MSFS isn't all that bad for a GA /VFR bloke

However - Asobo's view of Australia is atrocious - and the Gold coast area is at least 7 years old

My house is a building site - and I've lived in it for 7 years - It's 4 years since we had the Commonwealth Games on the GC - and MSFS shows the athletes village - and Swimming complex - in in early construction  - the old hospital still standing - where a new block of units is being built - and the new Hospital - still under construction although opened 5 years ago. We have marinas all over the place - but they are all sunk.

Strangely though - the Bing Satellite shows us a right up to date :(

Please Orbx - give us an MSFS Cityscape and airport - and I will even move over to MSFS for my VFR

    Orbx Board of Director's meeting.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

"35,189 airports, we can't do them all!", the lead Product Manager mumbled.

"And if we are doing it, its in the wrong sim!!', added the CFO

    :)

    TTM

Same meeting - "Lets put this story up on April One"

"Nah' - they won't believe us and inundate us more of the 35,189 CTD sites and

let's just remember the Orbx Motto"

"You can satisfy some of the people some of the time - some of the people none of the time -

But - none of the people - All of the time"

and then again - NiIl illigitimum simulatus Pilatus Carborundum:D

  7. Labelling any area "EAST" - or West for that matter - should be a No NO

and regions are specific geographically - and sometimes marked by trade organizations.

Once upon a time - Asia was - and sometimes - still is - the "Far East"

To those of us who live in Asia - Yes!! - Australia is a country in Asia -(Asian Trade Region) -

the Far East is Europe  - the Near East - is  The Pacific Ocean  and the Middle East - the Americas and Canada - :)

  8. Finally - we get something for we Aussies -outside of Sydney -  and WOW - Brisbane has Bridges - and makes one wonder

how the experts coped with the 6 year old Bing landscape??

No messing - these pics are great - (Ian)? - and the work you guys have done to our capital city is very well received by this Queenslander

who now awaits the porting of the Gold Coast to really get me excited

My credit card is jumping - but it will have to wait - until I move across to MSFS  --- sometime later this year - or an Australian Update :)

It'll be 83 in May and plan to see it.  This business of wearing a mask for public appearances has saved quite a bit on razor blades and provides a bit of anonymity.  You tend to really notice people who can smile with their eyes.

    I agree

Just this minute got back from having X-Rays and Ultra sound scans on both my Knees

As usual  -the operator did a check to make sure I was who I was - she asked for my birthdate

When I told her it ended in 1935 - she said - "Well - you don't look that old!"

Her Oriental eyes were smiling behind the mask  - ---- I think?
