  1. Nicely done, and challenging! I noticed there's pretty high trees on final into AYYE which make it difficult to grease the landing (in fact you have to let the airplane fall out of the sky once you're past the treeline), and in AYYW there's two large trees left and right from final that the inhabitants should have chopped for a safe operation.
  2. Update would be nice, as I just encountered this: Looks to me like the PAPIs are spot on, leading to a landing in the TDZ (as they should), while the G/S is so far off it doesn't even show anymore.
  3. I wasn't convinced by the preview shots, but yours did the trick! Would have loved 29 Palms to come up with their version, but here you go: sure purchase for me!
  4. Yep, I agree! I was critical with some recent releases from Orbx, but LDSP is very attractive. While I have seen better implementations of terminal interiors, the whole package including outside-the-airport-scenery adds a lot ot the immersion. Keep up the good work, Havant Team!
  5. Just finished my first flight into EGPH - and WOW!!!!! I only had a cursory look around, and I'm pretty sure THIS is the new standard in scenery design! Man, you have come a long way in a short period of time - considering your Tivat scenery as a starting point and NOW THIS! Congratulations! Btw - my first impression is always the approach in the WT CJ4 and the question: will the ILS tune automatically? Checked!
  6. Simming since FS4 times i have come to love some spots I flew into more than others - and among these were EGHI and EGPB. Now these were published thursdays with a discount labelled "Throwback Thursday". I purchased both when they were discounted - and I'll keep it with that I'm sorry to say. Both sceneries were originally created by 29Palms and were "state-of-the-art" when they were released - I think it was in FSX days. And as much as I loved them in the olden days, the more I am disappointed with the current releases. Blurry textures, no tranparent glass, no apparent attention to detail. "Reworking" to me is more than slapping blurry textures onto existing 3D-assets. I paid around 8,50 € each and I feel that's still too much taking the quality some freeware developers are achieving into account. I get the idea, but I have expected more. I'd never pay the regular prices until you raise the quality to levels that are to be expected in 2021. Just wanted to let you know, because I'm still a faithful Orbx customer - but I get a feeling that you're heading the wrong way. OrbxDirect is a convenient way to manage Addons, but that's not what keeps me in the Orbx realm, as there are others like Contrail and the like...
  7. Apologies - it does. It doesn't show the frequency in the arrival data of the FMS and it didn't tune on departure on a flightplan EGHI/EGHI, but it worked on approach. My bad!
  8. As with other Orbx airports EGHI doesn't support the "new" feature of autotuning the ILS with capable aircraft like the CJ4 or A320. More and more developers manage to integrate the data into their scenery, and I strongly hope Orbx will get there one day too. Come on guys, it's not a new sim anymore.... (FSX/P3D didn't support the autotune function and therefore 3rd parties had to deliver databases with their aircraft. That paradigm has changed. And there are a ton of CJ4 and FBW A320 pilots out there)
  9. Yeah, it's not that I wouldn't know THAT - as that's how we've done it when I learned flying. But thanks for the lecture anyway.
  10. You might want to hint your developers to this post at FSDT's forum. I'm not an expert, but I was able to learn that there seems to be a difference to FSX/P3D design in so far as changing the runway record without including the ILS record (two scenery thingies commonly known to developers obviously) makes autotune fail. Seems to be doable once you know the deal (there's obiously still an issue with Magnetic/True heading, but hey, that's why we don't do airports ourselves, isn't it?)
  11. +1 To delve a bit deeper into the issue: The FBW Airbus, WT CJ4 and WT G3000 equipped aircraft are able to autotune the ILS frequency if the approach is selected within the avionic system (FMS/Garmin). This is working for ALL stock airports and for NONE of my +10 Orbx- (and partner-) airports. Apparently the ILS's are functional for all these airports, yet the database loader (or whatever that MSFS thingy working in the background is) doesn't recognise them. You can tune the ILS manually and it's working as expected, but that's not how the aircraft are meant to be operated - and it's a widespread third-party scenery developer issue. As some developers seem to have solved the problem it should rightfully be considered standard in scenery design for MSFS.
