  1. Final pics of my Skopje International Airport (LWSK) heading to PULA (LDPL) flight, another nice little and well performing airport. Post PULA a change of livery, I should say I installed a new livery, tidied up the aircraft.cfg and tested with a flight to LOWI, quite a bit of rocky turbulance over the alps. Nearly @ PULA Then onto LOWI, you don't normally see AirNorth flying in this part of the world. Cheers.
  2. Hi Team, I logged into Central last week and noticed a selection of airport updates, one of which was WA79 Walter Sutton's Private Strip. Unfortunatelly as the last update for this airport removed the HD buildings AG I was enjoying, yesterday I opted to backup and today applied the updated AP. And we're back to HD Roofs and Standard Building Shells... So I rolled back to the .agn files dated 25/12/2018 and have HD Buildings back, noting there are still 4 new .agn files remaing placed by the 1.3.0 update. I also noticed some merged buildings, like default AG farm sheds merged into the custom farm sheds, possibly introduced by the update "Orbx WA79 Walter Sutton's Private Strip 1.2.1 - April 2020". Given I've reported the HD Roofs and Standard Building Shells issue previously, it's turning out somewhat painful to have to backup and individually test each airport update, only to then have to rollback. What's going on ?? Previously reported links for Orbx AP updates with issues with the update. Post update of WA79 to v1.3.0. After rollback of .agn files to versions dated 25/12/2018 Merged farm sheds
  3. Hey BradB, thanks for the comment. The Weather is provided by a combo of apps and subsequently tuned to my desired look and feel. ASN (Active Sky Next) provides the custom, actual live and historical weather. Plenty of tuning options in ASN. Rex Texture Direct with Soft Clouds provides for aplethora of textures to choose from. Real Turb hooks into the ASN API for nice turbulance when there should be. Further custom cloud tuning is achieved via Tomatoshade and its excellent advanced features where calculations can be used. I also have performed a little custom work in a couple of the P3D shaders themselves to tune to my desired outcome. Finally I use Banking Camera, which lets the VC views float based on the bank and turbulance and gives a feeling of being really there based on RL flights I've been in. The flight was really quite a rocky one over the mountains when in the clouds. Cheers QA
  4. LWSK is a brilliant little airport, great performance and interaction, I do strongly recommend getting it if you don't have the AP, the price is certainly right. These are just a few pics of flying into, and out of LWSK, in via the Lancair Legacy and out via the Beechcraft 1900D, the Beech is a plane I purchased during Covid sales but have only just gotten around to installing, as although Melbourne Aust has been in some extended Covid lockdown both last and this year, my job has managed to get busier the whole time (I work for a software sales and R&D company). I think LC holds up pretty well. Cheers LWSK and surrounding area. Checking out the AI, I thought about chasing it for a minute, but it was too quick and was gone by the time I was ready. Decided on a trip to PULA in my newly installed Beech 1900D And last one, haven't reached PULA yet but got other things i need to catchup on, good thing being a sim the flight and state can be saved. Cheers QA
  5. Pollution simulation ? ;-) Hmmmm, given cleansing of the shader cache a trial? Don't stress about deleting the shader cache files as they are all created on the fly anyway... Clearing all the cso files in path ~\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Shaders I did have some wierd things happen at one time where I made changes and then didn't clear the shader cache - see pic. I also mod the ~\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ShadersHLSL\PrecipParticle.fx shader for some nicer looking rain and snow with the below values. Line 100 is about where they are in my PrecipParticle.fx and a text editor is all it takes to edit, I use notepad++ myself (free). // Control how long streaks face and how big they are. // TBM 03/02/2019 change the calculated value for a smaller looking rain/snow effect. float height = cb_fQuadSize * cb_fQuadSizeHeightScale / (2.4 - (cb_uPrecipType * 1.65)); float width = cb_fQuadSize * cb_fQuadSizeWidthScale / (1.0 - (cb_uPrecipType * 0.25)); // TBM original values. //float height = cb_fQuadSize * cb_fQuadSizeHeightScale; //float width = cb_fQuadSize * cb_fQuadSizeWidthScale;
  6. Don't hold your breath... I reported a bunch of issues with S11 when it had it's last update (that I'm aware of). Still awaiting, although for myself I rolled back to an earlier version of S11 that didn't have the problems. https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/194293-sekiu-11s-update-prison-now-has-autogen-overwrites And this one https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/196237-building-hd-roofs-standard-building-shells Mostly they seem to be autogen issues. Cheers QA
  7. Well... here is Global Base installed along with Vector, PNW and Buildings HD. So they are around in some areas at least. Cheers QA
  8. Heh, thanks... Contest pre-MSFS maybe ... bit hard to compete with MSFS though. Cheers QA
  9. Just a few covering various flights around the virtual world. Here we are @ Catalina AP in my modded C208B. As the mists roll in over Catalina. Orbx's Africa LC. PNG flying. In France. And lastly PAVD, a great sightseeing airport and area. Cheers QA
  10. Yes it won't as "Full Screen Optimisation" is a Windows 10 gaming feature introduced with the Win10 Creators Update. https://winaero.com/disable-fullscreen-optimizations-windows-10/ So nothing to disable in Win7. Although thinking about it, you can disable aero, but I've found P3d is better with aero. Cheers QA
  11. I know the scenery order has resolved your reported issue, that said you might also find the post below of use for NZQN runway issues.
  12. Hi Folks, Yes I'm still with P3D (and v4.5 no less), IMHO P3D v5 is just not there yet and neither is MSFS, in fact I didn't move to P3D v4 till version 4.3 was out. And it's Orbx scenery providing the most part, which I've had since FSX-SE days and have since built upon (thanks Orbx for allowing its use across to P3D and keeping it updated). The rest is a combination of ASN, Rex Texture Direct with Soft Clouds, a few specific textures (such as the base grass bump map), Tomatoshade (not for its reflection options, more for its ability for advanced shader tuning), plus there is a little custom shader work and a fair amount of prepar3d.cfg file and P3D's other config files tuning. Cheers
  13. These are a few shots I've collected while just enjoying flying. In Cuba flying the A2A C182, I'd been performing shader and weather tuning on the flight. Over ye old England in a C195. Mount Kilimanjaro A few FedExing around New Zealand And a final New Zealand shot. Cheers
  14. Are you able to monitor your CPU and GPU ? An overload of either would typically result in frame drops and stutters. Here's a short vid showing GPU overload and how it affects frame rates and introduces stutters. Once the limits are known the P3D configuration can be adjusted to take those limits into account. Other things that can affect are things like anti-malware perfoming realtime scanning of files while P3D is accessing them and general hardware bottle necks. 15. Hi Anatolski, I remember reading about an issue in P3D that prevents sections of autogen displaying, perhaps this is related to your issue? https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/scenproc-extremey-dense-house-problem.435349/ Try adding these lines to your P3D .cfg file under the section [TERRAIN] and give some feedback [TERRAIN] TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=6000 TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_VEGETATION_PER_CELL=6000
