Hi
Developer
This product has been produced by Cloudsurf Asia Simulations. For Cloudsurf Asia Simulations product support, please to go https://cloudsurfasia-simulations.com/contact-us/

That is correct, there is no new news, and when there is it will be shared. There is nothing "bizarre" or "telling" about it. The situation is exactly as Anna stated. Feel free to question its fruition all you like, that is your personal choice.

Hi
Orbx Central does do what you are describing...you can use Orbx Central to create as many libraries as you wish in as many different locations as you wish, and the Orbx Central auto updater will find them.

Hi Jack
Sure, I don't see why not... but maybe post it on the MSFS community help sub forum instead of here please.

Hi Sal
I have disabled all my Southern California Orbx products and the aircraft remain blank/white, so it is safe to say this is a default P3Dv5 issue and should be reported to them.
-
I find vram is more important than FPS these days, which is why I am still enjoying my 1080ti with 11gb of vram.

Hi Tom
To get rid of the cartoon trees, Please Untick the “Dynamic 3D Autogen Vegetation” option in the P3D settings Options/World, then restart your sim.
The first image below is with TE Netherlands HD install over your city with the Jumbo store in sight.
The second image is of the exact same location without TE Netherlands installed.

Hi
RAM usage is not the issue, VAS usage is the issue.
-
Hi
For FSX, I use 1024 for the "Graphics Texture_Max_Load, this should also make a difference with VAS usage. In most cases I see very little difference between 4096 compared to 1024.
-
Hi
The memory error you are getting is a common issue with FSX and is called an OOM (Out Of Memory) and has nothing to do with the physical memory RAM you have installed in your system, rather it is referring to a memory type called VAS (Virtual Address Space) which means that FSX is a 32bit program and can only make use of 3-4gb of memory and with high powered PC's using higher settings and more complex addons it uses up this 3-4gb extremely fast and produces the error...it is a decades old issue that you will be able to learn more about by doing a google search using a criteria for example "FSX OOM". The new version simulators are now 64 bit programs and do not have these issues anymore.

Hi Tom
If you still can not find the folders, you may need to adjust your windows folder options settings as shown in the below attached image.
Please type in the windows search box "Folder Options"
Then open the File Explorer Options.
Then click on the "View" tab.
Then select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"
Then click on Apply and OK.

Hi Dean
The TE products are photo based scenery and will always over ride land class scenery regardless of scenery library priority, so it does not matter.
To get rid of the bright lime green trees, Please Untick the “Dynamic 3D Autogen Vegetation” option in the P3D settings Options/World, then restart your sim.

Hi Doug
Thanks for the reply.
One additional question. I have Netherlands True Earth. It states that it requires 200Gb for temporary installation. My drives are a sfollows:
C:Local 63.5Gb free E: P3D installed here, has 164Gb free out of 223Gb F: Orbx library has 820Gb free.
Must I change the temporary folder for downloads to Drive F? If so, how do I do that? I tried but did not work!
Regards,
Tom
Hi Tom
Yes, you will need to use your F: drive for your temp folder location. To do this, first create a new folder on your F: drive and call it TEMP, then open Orbx Central and go to Settings\Downloader and for "Temporary Location" click on "Edit" and navigate to your new folder and then click on select folder as in the example image below of mine.

Hi Tom
Being greyed out means they are installed to an external library which is what you have done and is perfectly normal.
You can access those entries in the P3D addons list instead, where they are not greyed out.
-
Hi Tom
Ok, please follow Smudgers advice above and create a library on your F:\ drive.
Then install your products.
-
Hi
Your P3D E:\ drive is not large enough to install very many Orbx products, so as Smudger suggests, you will need to create a library in a location such as your F:\ drive, hopefully it has tons more space.
In Orbx Central, you will also need to go to settings\downloader and move the windows temp folder to a location with more space than what is on your C:\ drive, as Orbx products are downloaded and unzipped to your C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp folder and sometimes need up to 3x their install size before they get installed to the simulator location, then after the install is complete, they are removed from your C:\ drive. You can move the Temp folder to a drive with more space using the option in Orbx Central settings\downloader.
Also, make sure, before you close Orbx Central after you create your libraries, to got to settings\help and run the sync simulator function, this will create the "connection between the Orbx scenery files and the simulator".

Hi Wayne
The v5 and v4 products are becoming more and more not compatible with each other, so I would definitely do a separate library and separate product downloads.

In the instructions...
Run Verify files for the Orbx Libraries which will replace the lclookup.bgl file.

Have you tried the complete process in the topic I linked above?
-
Thanks
Do you have another Los Angeles area addon that has an LC (land class) element to it, such as an entry in your scenery library that has the letters LC included in it?
If not, please see the below topic link.
Is himalaya mesh update scheduled for today 23?
