  1. Yes there is an airport in the distance. At least one can spot the runway. How long does it take you to recognize this place?
  2. Now this would be the time to focus on your two shots from "above". I mean "really above". A nice flight above your home town, Hervey Bay!
  3. That is an easy task, Chris, especially keeping in mind I have been at that town (your town!) just 6 weeks ago. But I won´t take the guess, as Ben´s question came up first... BTW: An outstanding real life flight, mate!
  4. Let´s continue here first... even though I am absolutely not sure. Cessnock?
  5. You got it Ben. I knew it was not too hard... Can you post a new one?
  6. Probably... ! I am unsure if you would want to post a new question for us, Matt - for the time being I´ll share something else. Routined Orbx flyers will know it quickly.
  7. You have nailed it. Too fast. Here is a second evidence kept hidden..: Are you in a position to continue?
  8. A perfect flight that was, Matt. And I´ll give you the next little "challenge", feeling qualified by 3 to 1:
  9. I would guess the following: #2: Israels Farm? #3: Concrete? #4: Darrington Mun.? PS: Great shots, Matt!
  10. Great shot, medx. Looks like a fun flight. And if Jimmy @Breeze was right, he has the right/duty to show us a next one.
  11. Great guess, medx. Do you have another one for us to recognize?
  12. Correct, J. A. Do you have the chance to ask us a similar question?
  13. Over the last years I have visited a number of Orbx airports in reality. And I suspect, many of you have done that, too. That gave me an idea... let me start a little collection here: Someone posts a (real) photo of the airport in question. Community may guess, which place it is. Preferrably with a sim screenie of the same location. If the right answer is found within the next 3 days, the first one to get the correct one earns the right to post another and we go back to step 1. If no one gets the right answer or is not able to start the next round, I´ll jump in. Until I have no more and have to resign. Or book more travels... Here we go with the first one. Not too complicated I think. Have fun!
  14. Great shots, and surprisingly I like the flight photos more than the food ones !
  15. Thanks for the info, @DaveTfc. However I went back to the combination of defender and my antivirus program, and these two I feel sufficient.
  16. Dear mates (and especially @FalconAF, @Chris.D, and - last but surely not least - @Nick Cooper ), I got the issue solved! It was not the interaction of Windows 10 defender and my antivirus program. It was the "Acronis Active Protection" which came with the backup software I had installed before the change from win 7 to win 10: After deactivating this malware-blocker the loading times of P3D are now back to normal - and I will now return to flying and posting here!
  17. Thank you Nick - I´ll try to focus on this issue now (there is no obvious function to do so...).
  18. Hi Chris thanks for your comments. I was happily running Win7 until now as well, but decided to switch as the Microsoft support (=updates) for it will end next January. It was still possible to change for free, and all runs well - except my flight sim... I tried to follow your hints, Falcon, as it sounds logical. Unfortunately my version (win10 Home v1809) does not show any of the options to deactivate the defender (or to define exclusions) that I found in the web (until now): It has the perfect automatism to recognize my antivirus program and therefore allows no access to any defender settings. I´ll search more... or hope for some good suggestions here.
  19. I fear that the update from Win7 to Win10 did something. Not the simstarter thing which only cut short the list of add-ons - the negative effect here is gigantic. Anyone did this change before or has experience?
  20. I know that there have been some other suffering long p3d loading times... I now have the same after upgrading my OS. But I know this community is great... Does someone have an idea how to cure this? Maybe some p3d files have been hidden somewhere on C:/ which I just have to find and move somehwere else? Or a complete new-install of p3d? Any hints are appreciated.
  21. After all I am not so sure. At least he did not run away from the plane in panic.
