Sure, i can reduce a few. I wish we were able to set them as optional as we had in p3d. One day maybe!

Thanks Marcus. Why can’t this be done in MSFS? In the Contrail app there is the Linate (LIML) scenery by Jetstream that has the option to deactivate the statics. I posted about it here:

I have also come across a couple of installers that have also had this option too…

    Couldn't agree more!

I feel that the marketing around the Mesh product itself seems to have been a bit lax, then the addition of PAJN, well that would make for some great marketing opportunities.

Historically Orbx has had a brilliant reputation within the flight sim community and the products virtually sell themselves... But, you can't be dropping the ball when there is just so much more competition in this MSFS environment and when the base simulator appears so good and is essentially competing with you!

Honestly, I'm still looking to be convinced that this Mesh product is going to substantially improve upon the default experience. I'm sure that will change, as the days go by and the community gets stuck into it.

I'm seeing a number of the Alaskan airports quickly being developed by other developers, once they are done to a high standard... there is hardly the need to develop another version.

Agreed! I wasn't that intersted in this Mesh but the inclusion of PAJN is swaying me as it was just last night i was looking to see if there was a scenery available. I wouldn't have known unless I read the release announcement...

@merlinux I was partially confused by the description of Juneau being included with the Mesh... So PAJN has in fact been converted over or rebuilt for MSFS and then been included as part of the Mesh release?

I have been flying around Alaska for the past week after seeing some of the Angle of Attack content on Youtube, such amazing scenery in MSFS! Hopefully the Mesh takes the landscape to the next level.

I was also a bit confused by this. The announcement is the only place I can see that makes reference to it! A few screenshots would be nice and writing it in the purchase description.

Reliable Information can be nicely found in the eAIP Norway. According to 2.19 Radio navigation an landing aids there seems to be an VOR DME and another DME paired with the Localizer RWY 24.

    Beat me to it :)

The approach chart also makes reference to the VGR DME for the ILS

  5. I hear this a lot, “well it’s happened for years in FSX/P3D etc etc” it doesn’t mean it should be acceptable. Seems many are stuck in the past, almost with Stockholm Syndrome. There is a new wave of flight simmers now, MSFS is more mainstream and this isn’t really acceptable. I get the jetways and LOD issues, it took everyone by surprise but a simple DME or to realign an ILS shouldn’t take this long. Freeware devs are better than this.

  6. While i appreciate that, I reported this 6 months ago, a patch was being tested 3 months ago….and yet still nothing has been released. Regardless of MSFS updates, most other airports have this working fine, along with ILS’s. I don’t like to be demanding but I did pay for this product (and many other airports through Orbx) and don’t feel I am being unreasonable to expect to have this resolved by now. The pace of some updates is frustratingly glacial.

Nick - please accept my apologies. It was another add-on. It was the We Love VFR add-on from flightsim.to. I did not realise it added in models like this.

Please feel free to edit my original title/topic to amend to this effect if appropriate.

Still, in the same vein, is there any way to remove things like this some landmarks so we don't this clash? Obviously the other add-on models are far greater in quality so I'd prefer to use those if possible.

Please see my comment above @Seanmo. To be clear, I incorrectly pointed out the models were Asobo's. However, conversely this might even be a more laughable situation with the creator being a single person freeware developer, who's add-on has been out since even Oct 2020!

The creator of We Love VFR has a discord, perhaps you could mention the duplicates there and see if he can exclude them for people who have the Orbx Pack.
