PFS
Hi, I receive the following error message during a clean reinstallation of Vector: Anyone know how to resolve it? Thanks,Paul
Nick Cooper
For a while, there was a fault with the installer which would produce error messages like yours, though it is too small to read in your screen shot. There was a temporary fix which involved creating new folders manually but the installer also had files missing from it. If possible, it would be best to download the latest version from your FSS account page.
PFS
Thanks, Nick. I downloaded Vector 1.20 from my FSS account, unzipped it, and ran the .exe file. The unwrapping went fine. During the FTX Global Vector Setup is when I receive the "Unhandled exception" error. This is really perplexing... EDIT: I created the folder(s) manually, and I *think* that solved the problem. Nick Cooper
I am both sorry to have wasted your time and disappointed that my suggestion did not work, it has solved numerous other users' problems with the installation. I take it that the installation path I:\Program Files (86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D is where you have installed P3D? Please try the following fix: Inside your ORBX folder manually create the following empty folders and sub folders Then run the installer again and it should go through without any error messages. When you have, please then search the FTX_VECTOR folder for the word default, you should have 4117 or so results. Please come back if you have any problems during the fix or it doesn't work as I have suggested.
