Repeated Issues with Scenery.cfg Priorities

Hi there ORBX team.

No matter how many versions of ORBX libs gets updated, I've never seen any alterations to the ordering of the scenery in FSX.

The ordering goes like this

ORBX EU LC Regions (Global)

Orbx EU (england/new zealand for example)

Airports

ORbx LIBS.

Shouldn't it be infact the exact opposite? For me the 10 or so regions which are titled base (see below) should sit under the specific EU regions? (Local=ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM)

[Area.135]

Title=ORBX!OPENLC_BASE

Local=ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_AA

Layer=126

Active=TRUE

Required=FALSE

Would love some clarity from staff if possible! :)

Kind regards,

Alex

Are you looking at the scenery.cfg file or your FSX scenery library?

The scenery.cfg file shows the lowest entries at the top whereas the

FSX library shows the same entries from the bottom upwards.

Thus, scenery area General in the scenery.cfg file is the lowest entry in

the FSX library but the highest in the scenery.cfg file.

FSX scenery library, I just used the scenery config entries as examples :)

Hi Alex,

FTX Central automatically sorts the entire "FTX..." block in alphanumerical order, meaning it will always be FTXAA_ORBXLIBS at the top (with FTXAA_HOLGERMESH above it, if installed), and then the airport and region entries underneath in their correct arrangement. And, yes, we're talking what you see in the FSX/P3D scenery library menu, not scenery.cfg.

The openLC entries are independent of the FTX block and should be at lower display priority; see http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/81831-setting-your-openlc-entries/

Cheers, Holger
