calum438
HI I have recntly downloaded FTX freeware Port Maquarie Airport. When At Airport all buildings(Airport and Houses) And PLanes are Black. Is this because in need to wait for it to Load? Can you Please Help Calum
John Venema
Black textures usually indicate missing texture files or an incomplete installation, or missing libraries, or all of the above. Do you have the FTX AU GOLD region installed? The Port Macquarie freeware airport is designed to be used with the FTX addon, specifically AU GOLD region. calum438
John, Sorry didn't understand you needed AU gold for Port Maquarie. Is there any way you can get it to work without Au Gold? Or is there any other freeware that dosent ne an AU colour? Thanks Calum
John Venema
Yes for sure, I imagine there are plenty of freeware sceneries all over the world which work with default FSX. Try some popular FS sites such as AVSIM or others.
calum438
John, I am a member of FS Download and Avsim, but never have i found suvh detailed scenery as FTX's, so I was wandering if thereis any Freeware that you have that does not require any AU colours. maxpax444
Thanks Does the Tasmania demo include an airport. Can I have more Details please Calum The Tasmania demo covers a very large area and lots of airports - especially if you download OZx to go with it. Also included in the Tasmania demo is the Orbx Freeware Launceston Airport.
calum438
I Just tried the Demo and it is great, but as I stated in my post YMML on FSX in the payware section, a few minutes after I start flying the screen freezes, a minute or so later FSX exits and a Fatal error has occoured window comes up. THis has only started After I have Purchased and Installed YMMLSP1 for FSX. THis Happens EVERY time I Fly Can you please help me fix this problem as it is Extremely annoying Calum
Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Calum, Could you be so kind and add your YMML order number to your sig, also it would be handy to share with us your system specs hardwareside and also wich OS you have in use as that could point us in the direction of the source of your troubles. Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Calum, I may assume by looking at your specs that you are using Windows XP and not Vista, it would be advisable to try and run things at lower settings and up it step by step to see where the system starts to get "buggy" and than set it one notch back. I'd also recommend that if you have XP that you make sure that you have SP3 installed for it, also would it be insterresting to know wich Vidcard you have in your system as that is also a part of the equation
