Mac_Maddog88
Was wondering what to have checked or unchecked for Redding to get good performance in airliners. Sorry that this is my second post today on performance, I just got a ton of stuff from the sale and have been having slight performance issues at Redding. Stewart Hobson
All the aircraft are static so there's no need to turn them off, it seems to me. Maybe uncheck the O85 stuff? and the advanced autogen? I've always thought airliners are big performance hogs anyway, so I don't fly 'em. Jarrad Marshall
G'day Outrage, No worries at all - if you are wanting a bit more leeway in the performance department to give way for a heavier airliner, these would be my recommendations (listed in order of highest->lowest impact). 1. Since you've been installing a few new addons, make sure to do a full defrag of your hard drive (if it's not an SSD) - you'd be surprised how much a difference this will make. 2. If you run AI, dial them right down as low as you can handle. 3. Autogen - it's very dense in the Redding coverage area (more so than Monterey or Palm Springs) - dial this down a few notches. 4. Control Panel Options - Animated people + animals (creatureflow) - this will remove all the majority of the complex animations in the area 5. Control Panel Options - Static Aircraft - start with removing GA (because it has the most placements) and go from there. 6. Control Panel Options - Static People and City Landmarks - only if you're looking to save a little bit more fps, as whilst the performance increase will be marginal, the visual impact will be large. Hope this helps, Cheers, Jarrad
Mac_Maddog88
Jarrad, dialed down most settings and got out of there in the DC-9 smoothly. Thanks for your help!
