flo1981
Hello! Simple question: Do Yosemite work without Northern California and with default FSX mesh? Thanks for your answer.

dominique
MV is in Az not in Ca, it is a Global addon not a NCA one.
Stewart Hobson
Umm...Yosemite is indeed in California. And there is no such thing as the "default FSX mesh". To answer your original question, though, I'm not aware that you need NCA to use the Yosemite scenery.
dominique
Oops, I read Monument valley where the OP wrote Yosemite ! A senior moment . It is of course within NCA and adapted to its mesh I suspect. BTW Stewart, there is indeed a FSX default mesh, if not the default sim would be entirely flat. For the US, this mesh is even better than theone in FS9 (38m sampling)
John Venema
Yosemite is an addon designed for FTX NCA, so yes you will need it.

duke_sc
Yosemite is an addon designed for FTX NCA, so yes you will need it. Ahh. That explains why nothing looks to have changed after installation. I too have misunderstood the freeware section, I though all the d/ls were standalone. Some, like CEJ4 show up with lot's of interest around the airstrip, but I guess the others with landclass etc., don't work. Wish I'd come here first, would have saved a morning of tinkering
olli4740
With FTX Central set to 'default', Yosemite gets disabled. You can add/activate that library entry manually, place it at the top of your scenery library, and it will show in non-ORBX scenery, too. Not officially supported.
