ScottecLEMD
Ref Order No. FSS0328330 Hi, Just bought and installed the following items: [ORB-079] Orbx - FTX: Global VECTOR [ORB-726] Orbx - FTX: EU Scotland And my FXT setup is as follows: FTX AA ORBX LIBRARIES VER 131027 27th October 2013FTX EU SCO Scotland 1.20 - August 2014FTX GLOBAL BASE PACK - Version 1.30 September 2014FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACK 1 - March 2014FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACK 2 - April 2014FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACK 3 - June 2014FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACK 4 - July 2014FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACK 5 - September 2014FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACK 6 - October 2014FTX GLOBAL VECTOR PACK - Version 1.20 October 2014FTX openLC Base Region Version 1.10 - September 2013 FTX openLC Europe Region 1 (Eastern Europe) Version 1.00 - July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 10 (UK & Ireland) Version 1.00 - July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 2 (Scandinavia) Version 1.00 - July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 3 (Russia) Version 1.00 - July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 4 (France) Version 1.00 - July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 5 (Turkey) Version 1.00- July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 6 (Germany) Version 1.00 - July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 7 (Mediterranean East & West) Version 1.00- July 2014 FTX openLC Europe Region 8 & 9 (Iceland) Version 1.10 - June 2014 FTX openLC North America Region 1 Version 1.00 - September 2013 Once I had installed the SCO Region File I ran FSX and was over the moon with the incredible detail. However, I then went to the support page to check that my products were all up to date, which they were apart from SCO. Patch 003 was available so I downloaded and installed. Now my SCO scenery appears with corrupted textures and looks as if Scotland has been flooded. Random water textures appear while flying over dry land, striped textures appear at random intervals and some houses look like they are floating in the air. See attached screen shot. Is there any way to remove this patch or is there a patch for the patch: PC Setup as follows: Windows 8.1 64bit Inter Core i7-4770K CPU " 3.50GHz 16Gb RAM NVIDA GeForce GCT 760 (192 Bit) Thanks Ken Brattey
ScottecLEMD
Update to this I tried the fix by copying the Terriain.cfg file from the \orbx\scripts\FTXCentral\work folder to the FSX default folder and overwriting the already installed terrain.cfg file. I Opened FTX Central and cycled between Global and Europe a couple of times. I then launched FSX and went to airport SC05 (Bute Island). As you can see from the attached picture, same result. Everything was working fine until I installed the EuropeLC and SCO Patch 003. Is there a specific order that the products need to be installed in? Also, if I need to reinstall, how do I do that? Thanks in advance

Sylvain Delepierre
Hi Ken, Is FTX Central set to Europe ? Central MUST be set to Europe when you fly in a full region. Also check that your OLC entries are below ftx regions in your scenery config http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=19604
ScottecLEMD
Hi Sylvain Many thanks for your reply. I was beginning to think that maybe I was not posting correctly. Having read and re-read most of the related posts on here as well as the User Guides, I decided to do a complete new install. All my textures are now showing correctly and the scenery files are in the correct order although I did note that when you change region it seems to screw up the order, but that was easily sorted. Tomorrow is another day when I will install the Scotland Patch and hopefully everything will still work as it should. I am set to Europe as that will be my main area of ops for the moment. Thanks again. Brgds Ken
Nick Cooper
I will install the Scotland Patch and hopefully everything will still work as it should. I am set to Europe as that will be my main area of ops for the moment. Hello Ken, Apology in advance if you already know what follows, I may have misread your last post. Europe region is for the time being only the UK and Ireland. OpenLC Europe covers all of Europe including the UK and Ireland so there is a potential conflict. For now, these are the rules. To fly only in Scotland and see what is intended, FTX Central must be set to Europe. To fly everywhere else in Europe, it must be set to Global. To fly in and out of Scotland and see what you should in both Scotland and the rest of Europe it must be set to Global+Hybrid.
ScottecLEMD
HiNick Thank you for the rules. It was a little confusing but your explanation is perfect. I will be adding the other UK regions so based on your rules above it is probably better leaving FTX Central set as Global+Hybdrid? My main problem was the scenery layers, which just would not work no matter what way they were sequenced. All sorted now with a reinstall, defray and restart after each product and then checking the scenery layers. However, when I switch from Global to Europe, the scenery layers get mixed up again with the Scotland ones moving back under the EuropeLC ones. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Thanks again for the reply. Best regards Ken
ScottecLEMD
GuysJust one last question on the Scenery Layers, where should the FTXAA_ORBXLIBS sit? At present it is on top of everything else and does not appear to be causing a problem, but, is this where it should be?Thanks again for all your help. I have been exploring every corner of Scotland today Best regards Ken

ScottecLEMD
Hi Glenn "You will then have all your FTX Regions and Airports (as well as Orbxlibs & Holgermesh) all grouped together with priority over the openLC entries." Understand that but does it need to be in a particular order with the FTX Regions and Airports? I don´t see this specifically mentioned and none of the screenshots appear to show this either. Thanks Ken
GlennH
FTX central takes care of the order of regions an airports. You don't need to adjust this.
