Just bought myself the new Skysim Mirage and went for a test flight in Coffs Harbor

Looks fast just standing still

Flies fast too, especially with full afterburner

my favorite paintjob, reminds me of my old Tanguy and Laverdure comics

I'm not really into jets, but I'll happily make an exception for this one!

Jan,

What is your opinion of the Skysim Mirage, most especially the Virtual Cockpit?

I used to work on these aircraft in Williamtown (New South Wales - Australia) and Malaysia and they have always been a fond memory for me.

I agree with Paul. Seems we both worked on them, mate.

I am interested to know about the Australian repaints that were coming for it as I have some good photos of my own and was gonna do a few repaints after buying the aircraft, but don't want to reinvent the wheel if somebody is already doing it.

Great stuff! I used to read Tangy & Laverdure myself too. I really liked the drawings by Uderzo, much better than the guys who drew the comic later (and whose names I therefore forgot). Thanx for the trip down memory lane  :)
