mas618
Hello guys. Downloaded the 1.20 update to installe on top of my 1.15. From the Zip I got OrbxFTXGlobalVector120.2-11 along with the .exe file. Running the installer as admin, I go past the wizzard, and see the window with the dialog "Checking system" and "preparing files", and immediately after the window disapears and nothing more. No active programs in the task manager or nothing....? In the list of active proces, I really don't know what to look for... This is on Win 7 x64 and I'm pointing the installer to p3d v2 (have 2.4 installed). Mas
Wolter van der Spoel
please make sure to Unzipp the file first to a folder, DO NOT attempt to run the installer from within the Zip file, there will be multiple files then as the installer is limited by the file size it can digest there will be multiple files followed by a number, also right click the exe and select to "Run as Administrator", after the install run the latest library files
mas618
Thx Walter, but that's what I already did... Never had issues with any if your installers before.. Mas
Nick Cooper
Perhaps you don't have enough free space for the installer to work? Not necessarily on your target drive if different but on your system drive. You could try a Disc Cleanup in Windows file Explorer.
mas618
I am dangerously low on space - how much does the installer need? And wouldn't I get some sort of error dialog...? This could be the final drop that's going to get FSX completely removed from my HD...
Nick Cooper
No, you don't see any error dialogue. You need about 15GB free as a minimum.
mas618
Ok - thx. I'll try and see if this is the issue, will report back. Thx again! Mas
mas618
Only had 9.9 gb left, so goodbye FSX for good, and that did the trick - installing now! Thank you! Mas
