Thanks guys!  MJ's V-2 was my first attempt at creating a soundset.  This one is my second try and fours radials at that with custom sound cones. Trying to replicate sounds from youtube videos is a daunting task, especially with only three so so videos of the Tanker.

Awesome, just awesome from start to finish.  Perfect timing, perfect camera positions ....  and the sounds rivet your attention!  That's really interesting that you can insert your  own sounds ...I don't understand the mechanics of that but it must be a daunting task.  Thanks for your professional presentation.

This soundset is designed for Manfred's KC-97 and will be included with his aircraft.  It is designed after a multi-engine (4) Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major with turbo superchargers which has 28 cylinders, 4 banks, 7 cylinders in each bank known as the "corncob" radial. With supercharges the exhaust is quieter than open exhaust versions. Open exhaust R-4360's are very loud compared to the ones used on the aircraft listed below. For instance the C-119 Box car uses the R-4360 open exhaust version and sounds way different.  Not many aircraft use the turbo verson.

Few other aircraft that use this radial...

  • Boeing B-50
  • Boeing C-97, Model 377
