Hello,

After installing FTX Global openLC i am getting an error message every time  I start FSX (see below)

_____________________________________________________________________________

"Scenery.cfg  file error,local scenery directory"

"(ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_NA1\SCENERY)I in scenery area 270 not found click ok to contiinue."

_____________________________________________________________________________

Notice this error message has ""parenthesis"" at the beginning and end of error mesage.

Dont know what this is.

In my Scenery.cfg file this is what is in area 270

[Area.270]

Title=ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICA1

Local=ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_NA1

Layer=270

Active=TRUE

Required=FALSE

Notice in my Scenery.cfg file the entry seems to be missing ""parenthesis"" ?? and also missing \SCENERY

Can anyone tell me how to remove this error message

Is the entry in my "Scenery.cfg  #270 correct?

Please help.

Hello Wolter,

I read your reply but when I got ready to follow your recommendations I brought up this thread to be sure I followed them properly and they have disappeared.!!!

Could you possibly repeat them I want to be sure I followed them properly.

Thanks,

The advice was

The error message is telling you that the files pointed to by the correct

scenery.cfg entry

[Area.270]

Title=ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICA1

Local=ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_NA1

Layer=270

Active=TRUE

Required=FALSE

are not at the expected location.

The files are installed with FTX Global.

To remove the error message, you need to restore the folder

ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_NA1.

Re-installing FTX Global should achieve this, however you may wish

to use Windows File Explorer to check your ORBX file structure first,

in case it has inadvertently been moved.

You need not be not be distracted by punctuation or \SCENERY,

neither of which are relevant.
