Did you install the latest Orbx Libraries already, available at https://www.fullterrain.com/support.html#orbxlibs ? As mentioned by the region installer menu it's important that you do. I hadn't had these Orbx Libraries installed so I went and installed them there and still I am getting this same error when I try to open up FTX Central. Any other solutions? Holger Sandmann Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 Hi there, hmm, well the initial error message may indicate an access permission issue. You can check folder access rights by right-clicking on your "Microsoft Flight Simulator X" folder, selecting Properties, then the Security tab, then checking that you have Full Control as both user and Administrator. Moreover you can also right-click on any installer .exe file or the FTX Central desktop icon and select "run as administrator". Holger Sandmann Posted June 15, 2014 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Hi Robbie, if you're logged in as administrator it should give you sufficient rights. However, if you want to check whether it's the user access rights that are creating the problems use the Edit button in the Security tab to give yourself full control. Generally speaking this kind of problem often stems from installing FSX into the default location, meaning under C:\Program Files (x86)\, because Windows is more active in "guarding" those folders than if you were to install FSX into a separate location, like C:\FSX\ or D:\FSX\. I now am able to get into FTX Central without the error that recently was popping up, but now once I have applied the region an error comes up saying... Europe was applied but with errors. Holger Sandmann Posted June 15, 2014 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Hi Robbie, are you using FSX with its Service Pack 2 or Acceleration pack? Those missing tree textures usually indicate that you don't have either installed, which is a requirement for pretty much all third-party add-ons, including ours.
